Reality TV Bingo
Dramatic reality show moments
30 prompts on a 5×5 grid, themed Sunset. Row, column and diagonal wins.
About this template
Reality TV Bingo is the perfect companion to scripted-but-pretending-not-to-be television. The Bachelor, Love Island, Real Housewives, Survivor, Top Chef, Below Deck — every reality format has its own bingo grammar of confessional cutaways, manufactured fights, and dramatic music stings.
The genre is built on repetition: producers re-use the same beats every season because they work. That makes the bingo cards uncannily accurate. You can mark half a 5×5 card by the end of the first commercial break.
When to use it
- Weekly watch-along nights for a current reality series.
- Season premieres or finales where the stakes are higher.
- Hate-watching — a card makes a bad season fun.
- Group chats where everyone watches separately and posts marks live.
Hosting tips
- Make a fresh card per season. Reality shows iterate their tropes; what worked in season 6 may not in season 12.
- Include 'producer move' squares — the obvious editing choices ('cut to confessional after dramatic line', 'slow zoom on reaction face') reward people who watch carefully.
- Group-text the cards before the episode starts so everyone watches with the same cues in mind.
- Use Caller Mode if a friend wants to host live — they call squares aloud as they happen, almost like a sports commentary.
Variations
- Dating show bingo — squares specific to The Bachelor, Love Island, Married at First Sight: cliché lines, dramatic exits, the obligatory hot-tub scene.
- Competition show bingo — Top Chef, Project Runway, Drag Race tropes — the producer twist, the unexpected elimination, the deeply emotional backstory.
- Housewives bingo — table-flip moment, divorce-talk reveal, the dinner that ends in a fight.

Questions people ask
Does this work for shows I watch alone?
Yes — solo reality bingo is a low-effort way to add a game layer. Many fans share marks in real time on Reddit threads or group chats during the episode.
What about live finales?
Live finales are the peak of the genre — Bachelor finales, Love Island finals. Make a special-finale card with three or four extra-rare squares ("producer cuts to family in audience").
